I love the fact that you have an impala! I'm also planning on getting one but about 30 yrs older and with an ls1 4 drs and ss conversion...so sick!
I agree. Have fun in Africa man, I was in Djibouti for a while...and I thought Iraq was hot!! 117 degress in the shade and humid as hell! I'll take Afghanistan (where I'm currently at) anyday compared to that place.

We are not at war...I can not tell you why I am here, as I don't really know. Google US Air Force Operations in Ethiopia, and that will be all you can know...haha

I did a tour in Asmara (a spook site, Google up 4th ASA Field Station) when it was still part of Ethiopia, before they won back their independence. It used to be a nice place, at least as nice as Addis, but now it's a socialist state, receiving aid from North Korea, of all things.
If you can get permission to travel there, check out the old road from Asmara to Massawa. It's bad to the bone on a bike or an old Fiat Abarth, especially the section from Asmara to Nefasit.

Ethiopia is neat. If it wasn't for the southern half of Somalia and Eritrea, it would be better. Speaking of hot, be sure to check out the Danakil Depression while you're there.
