Spark Plug Question (Newbie)
Hey guys sorry if this has been answered in a previous thread. I am a newbie around here. I just picked up an '04 LS6 CTSV and wanted to switch out the spark plugs. I've has great experiences with NGK plugs on previous vehicles, but they have all been imports. What spark plugs do you guys think are the best? I am currently bone stock all around. Thanks in advance.

The TR5s are available in iridium. TR5-IX from marylandspeed
You don't want to gap a plug too much beyond how it comes from the factory because you will cause a big bend that will result in a spark with direction of travel that's out of spec.

Oh ok well of that's the case... Maybe you're right. I knew both were a good plug for N/A applications but I was told the TR55IX was slightly better. How true that is I don't know but you can't go wrong either way.

Ya, they're identical except for the factory gapping. I think a lot of LS performance guys have used TR55s for years, so just have them piled up in their storerooms and plug them in when needed. But really if you're ordering, the TR5 is a better choice for our engines. I nerded out on plugs a couple weeks ago, now I know way too much about plugs and gaps.
