what are you doing? are you sure a helicoil setup won't work?

I pulled the threads on one of the head bolt holes on the block. Every thing I've read says time serts are the way to go

I asked my local dealer and they only do heli coils. That's why I'm trying to find someone I could rent from.

I got it put back together and so far so good. I hope it holds. For whatever reason I did something wrong and the sert is too fat down the hoke but there was enough threads for the bolt to catch and torque down. Hope all goes well.
