That sucks. Thats going to be a total, imo.
You can always repair it like the guy on cadillacforums did. Very similar rear end damage, ended up putting it together nicely with the rear end of a normal CTS.

Well, got the estimate for repairs today. Total is $17,400 which is about 89% of the value of the car so it's pretty much totaled...
Now I have to decide if I want another CTS-V or something else...

Driver of the other car was an 88 year old WW2 vet. he said he never seen my car and never hit the brakes...

Sucks about your car, glad you're ok! When my last car was totaled, I could buy it back for $600 and knew I wouldn't make much when parting it out, since it was a 16 year old f-body with an LT1 and serious front end damage, but with the V's, there's some serious money to be recovered when parting them out ...
I get this ALL the time, they see a CTS coming and assume that Grandma/Grandpa is behind the wheel. I bet they would think twice about pulling out in front of a Corvette ...

Thinking about getting a Performance White 2013 Boss 302. I loved my CTS-V but just dont want to have to put up with rear end/transmission problems anymore and want something newer. Looking at one that has 1,100 miles on it for $39k
Looks exactly like this and is an all option car. (SYNC package, BOSS interior Package, Recaro seats, Helical diff, Boss car cover $475, Unique black shift ****)

Glad you're okay, sucks about such a badass car man. People that age need to have their license renewed more often than younger folk who can actually ******* see. Being an LS guy I love all things LS, but the new boss cars are pretty dope.

I completely understand the need for something with a better launch capability, but be weary on the Boss... I've heard of a few transmission problems already.
