The old shift boot was seriously getting hard and just did not look new and nice, so I decided to get my wife a brand new custom made Alcantara shift boot for her birthday for her V. I took a trip to a shop that a friend of mine owns that does nothing but custom upholstery work since I did not like the other ones on the market that I saw.
Several hours later I walked out with a custom made on that was black Alcantara with silver stitching that matched the trim ring, the shift **** and the border stitching on the seats. I was pretty stoked. Funny thing is that with the material being much more pliable than the hard old leather it actually shifted better and went into gear easier, lol. Who would have thought!
I will get some better pictures to post up soon.

I think most of the boots they do go for between $70-$80. I am sure it depends on the materials and if you had anything else special done to it. JPM Coachworks does some really nice work. While I was there they had a brand new Porsche that was getting the seats redone, lol. The car probably had less that 1000 miles on it from the looks of it.
