Default How to wire your LS6 car for a LS2 throttle body

Does anyone have the instructions or a link on how to wire a LS2 throttle body onto a LS6 equipped car? I searched a few links and never really found a definitive answer. I know you will end up discarding 2 wires out of the 8. I believe the white and pink ones are the ones that you leave out.

Cheap swap from a stock 78mm ls6 TB to a 90mm ls2 TB, it can only be done when switching to a FAST for the ls6 guys because the LS2 TB is 4 bolt to the ls6 3 bolt flange.

To the OP, buy the plug and play pigtail and plug it right up.

Ls2 TB is larger i believe.
Or if you upgrade to a 92 or 102 TB since they are drive by wire

Untrue, I have a LS2 Throttle Body on stock LS6 Intake.

I also bought the adapter, make quick work of the wiring! You do have to re-route the coolant lines and oil breather line.

I forgot about those, but its kinda pointless to have a 90mm Tb and a 78MM opening on the manifold.

Agreed!! Only reason I did on mine was I need a new throttle body after a **** port job so I went with an LS2 while I was spending the money knowing I would upgrade to a FAST sometime in the near future.

Good call especially since the ls6 and ls2 Tb sell for the same price anyways used.

I know adapters are available but I am splicing my own connector onto the original harness. I have a 92mm FAST intake to compliment my heads and cam swap. I am doing the 102mm MAF as well. One thing to remember when doing the larger MAF is that you will need a larger air intake tube, elbow, and connectors as well. I am adapting the new setup to my Volant CAI. If I can find the info I am looking for I will post it as I can't seem to find a definitive answer elsewhere.

I have never seen those until now.

Yeah...def pointless for power, but budget friendly.

The Caspers adapter cost me about $42, which is about the same as the pigtail connector without the headache. Do some searching and save yourself as well.

I paid $20 for a connector and no headache now. I wired it up last night and fired the car up. Runs great no CEL. I do not like the idea of the extra connections involved with the adapter harness. A soldered and shrunk connection is superior. I will share the info so that others will be able to do this with no "headaches".

This is how I did mine. I originally had the adapter harness and had some issues so I soldered everything in. Looks much nicer than having the harness in there.

I cut my adapter harness apart and soldered it, tucked it into the loom. Looks better and I bet it works better.
