That's fine. Just like the certs mustangs and most others they make a slip over. That doesn't replace the pillar. And my thought is if that airbag is going off it'll just go ahead and move your gauges outta the way.

Yes it will. As it impales into you head.

Shorty headers maybe? Catted long tubes that bolt to the factory catback? Axleback mufflers for the V1?

if I'm the only one that would run a pillar pod that's fine no need to waste time there then. Some kind of tubular front end components to lighten the car up a little would be pretty nice and popular I think. I'd be first in line!

Gauging needs. Maybe there are things that people want and nobody makes for no real reason. Maybe somebody wants to know where to start filling in the holes. Why not ask?

Unfortunately I think the options that are there are reasonable for what they require. Emphasis on UNFORTUNATELY.

1. An attractive/functional NAV (or carputer) replacement option
2. A-pillar gauge pods (there is no airbag in there, it's just the cover for the retaining screw that says "Airbag")
3. Upgraded shift linkage
4. Tubular K-member (to make turbo installs much easier)
5. Figure out how to fit a 4L80E in there!!!!!

IIRC, there isn't. Get a small flat blade screw driver under the "Airbag" button and pop it open, you'll see the retaining screw underneath. Just like how the sail panels are attached in the rear. I don't remember seeing an airbag in the A-Pillar, and I don't know how it would fit since the A-Pillar is so heavily reinforced in that area, there is no room.

It's been a while, LOL.

Thinking about it, I'm really interested in the 4L80E conversion...about the only way for a V1 to get into the 10's.

DMM beat me to it.

There is NO AIRBAG in the A pillar. the bag is actually higher up in the liner.

I decided to be lazy with the a-pillar...

Yep no airbag.

I want a-pillar gauge pod options that match factory upholstery. Sounds like there are others interested as well.
