and for those interested i may have a tubular k member/cradle in the works along with control arms as well. not sure on time frame but hoping for this year. should be working on it after my solid axle conversion in march

shifter linkage is the pits.
nice, heavy duty rear Toe rods, not like the BMR's would be NICE
just finished a complete stainless 3", no cats, custom X, custom mufflers and hand cut tips. Fabricator is willing to make pieces of the exhaust available. posting pictures and soundbites this weekend.

+10000 on the shift linkage. My shifter was busted when I got the car and now it is hitting the driveshaft. Need a whole new shifter assembly and only place is dealer and it's almost $500!!

Nova82189 - hold tight.... i am working with Katech to shorten the lower shaft on their STS by 1/4". I have a 3.5" aluminum one piece and had to install washers, like everyone. a solution is coming for this....fingers crossed
still need to figure something on the linkage setup.... my thought was installing some type of adjustable spherical bushing on the end that would allow you to adjust the arm to fine tune the length from the bottom of the shifter. similar to a control arm type setup.

I appreciate the input. I think revshift has a good head start on the bushings. I'm looking for ideas for hard parts. Exhaust, suspension, linkages are all good starts and reasonably doable. A friend of mine has a company that does these sorts of thing and is looking at entering the V world. They recently did some work on a V2, and have been looking at mine for ideas to get moving.

A good set of rear Toe rods (IE easy to adjust and rigid) even with poly bushings is really needed
I know Rev-shift has the bushings down. But what about a metal set of rear cradle bushings to solidly mount the cradle. Seems like it would be a fairly simple lathe part to make. Just use a wedge to hold it into the current cradle hole.
A good harness bar would be nice.
I will third or 4th some of the lightweight suspension components
Shorty headers would be nice if you could get power out of them, there are many who avoid headers for emissions reasons.
sub-frame connectors might be nice, but once you rigid mount the rear sub-frame I don't know if the added weight would start to pay off or not.

The subframe connectors for me anyway is for higher Hp rigidity. Weight is not really a concern. My buddy who work for a mining company grabbed me some aluminum that the use for making the elevators they use. Super high strength and super light. You would be able to easily lift the connector with one hand.
He was designing a bolt on kit. Maybe this suimmer I'll get him back on it.

I will. Mind you my friend is the type that takes forever to get things done, busy guy.
But if I bug him enough, and with some mild threats of violence, you never know. Probably wouldn't be untill begining of summer when I could get my car to him again. He does owe me some fabrication time, and If i let him know he could produce them for other people it may get the ball rolling.
The main purpose is to brace the Unibody to stop it from twisting under torque. Might not be needed for your regular V, but once you start pushing the HP it's probably a good idea.

The thing to remember is that most of us buying the V now are not necessarily typical Cadillac owners. I was looking at new Mustangs and Camaros but got a good deal on the V and wanted a unique car.
