Same tires as Rand49er...Eagle GSD3 275/40/18 in the rear. They run wide though, more like a 285. No rubbing issues on stock height.

<--closest thing to the suck it....

What are you talking about? I have contributed so much to this thread! So much knowledge! As much as a search engine can contribute= alot!

relax guy. It is standard forum rules to search first, then to harass/flame the OP who starts threads in which there have already been several. Sort of a tradition, happened to me, happened to you. Yeah, you were on your phone and the search is a little terrible, but was the matter that pressing which you had to start a thread on your phone? Were you in a tire shop waiting for an answer to determine what you buy? Doubt it. If you were then was your plan to wait around for someone to reply to your thread? You know if you type in "275 40 18 cts-v" into google the top two sites link you to the answer here and cadillac forums? Amazing right?

At any rate relax. You got your answers from others, just like I did when I bought my 275's. Best of luck with your V.

I should probably add that I am on my phone and had trouble finding the photos I was looking for.

I have found people running 35 and 40 sidewall. The kdw2 seems to have a little thicker sidewall than my previous tire. So I guess the 35 would be better maybe.
You are welcome. um, I am not providing any more info that is searchable.

But wait for it as there is some coming.....

(bit of knowledge: my phone still has search function)

(other bits of knowledge) There is an edit button. You know, to avoid double posts.
I can search with my phone too!

Nope, I can run 275.40.18s ROUND and nit rub anywear. It's hard to drive on square tires.(I don't think that is searchable, but general info that any caveman should know.)

Believe me Nancy if there was a Suck button we would have pushed it so many times on this thread, it would have sucked itsself into a black hole.

How is this for contribution?

I like Continentals.

Alright so I still haven't bought tires yet so , was going to do the staggered fitment of 245/45 and 275/40 but now I see that 275/35 fits all the way around; would like some opinions on which way to go

Sure is a lot of practicality in going non-staggered.

Depends on what you use the car for? If you track or autocross then yes definitely go 275/35 due the higher grip limit up front. If its just a street car I really don't think you will get much out of 275/35 all around except spending more. A good tire will have more than adequate grip on the street with a 245.You have to consider your application.

I wish I seen this before 2wks ago. I bought 255/40/18 all the way around thinking that was cutting it close (stock height). I've got like a finger or two between the wheel/wheel well.

Thankfully TireRack caught my mistake as I had selected my car, but manually picked 17" tires! They called me & fixed it.

Didn't really see anyone in this thread say anything about H&Rs w/MM spacers. I'm do for new rubber so I am debating on to setups. 245/40/18 Front - 275/35/18 Rear Or will I be fine doing 275/35/18 @ all 4 corners?

The front should be fine @275/35. I would be more concerned with the rear.

sadly. I did with my jack handle in OC. put 4 people in my car. Cut tire BAD. 560 dollars for 2 new rears(FYI finding 19s in OC is a PAIN IN THE ***). And ghetto rolled them for safty. Going for a full roll and slight pull before spring. want to get 285s on.

Got this backwards. The rears have new major issues running a 275/35 or 40, outside of getting a little rub. The front will have serious issues, especially when lowered, if you got wider then 255 (maybe 265). The issue will be made painfully obvious if you hit a bump with the wheel making a moderate to faster turn.

Definitely not backwards. I'm running TD wheels on all four corners with 275/35/18 and no issues up front what so ever even at full lock. The rear however will rub if you hit some big bumps. I am also lowered on D2 coilovers.
