Haha, my fantasies involve hardware of the roof-mounted variety, but a cattle pusher would fun too!

1. If you cause an at fault accident, everyone in the resulting backup can sue you for their time being wasted.

This would be a nightmare here with all the freeloading *** holes. The welfare queens in this country would make a living off this even without a car,

They jump on city buses when they are involved in accidents and then fake injuries even though they were not on the bus.

I have seen two sting operations in recent years on this.

Tickets are the only things that will keep these slow idiots from obstructing the flow of traffic. Its just as bad to just slow in the fast lane as it is to drive fast. If she wanted to be "safe" she should move herself into the right lane. I hope that ticket sticks. Also lets be clear it was not a speeding ticket but a failure to be in the right lane.

No sympathy here.

Listen to the reporters. They don't get it either! Just a bunch of clueless drivers.

That simply is not a problem in Germany, the mindset is completely different. Hell, they'll even stand there to cross the street waiting for the light to allow them to cross even though there isn;t a car in sight.

Ironic how it's the Capitalist country where seemingly the entire population has their hand out; not the Socialist country.

Who gives a fvck who was driving the car. That's irrelevant. If you're not fit to follow the rules of the road, give up your license.

Keep right except to pass. People that sit in the passing lane should be rammed into the ditch.

Serious question. All B.S. aside. I always thought that the passing lane had the same speed limit as all the other lanes? I understand it is for passing, but technically I always thought you were limited to the actual speed limit. I know in real life everyone runs 10-15 mph faster in the fast lane than the posted limit, but I always thought in the eyes of the law the speed limit is the same in all lanes.

I applaud that officer! I wish it was enforced more.
Here in California the passing lane is the right lane for the most part.
Stupid drivers here get in the freeway and immediately make their way to the fast lane and just sit there like they own the damn lane.

Stay out of the passing lane. When I was on the Autobahn a few years ago, I was going 130 and I stayed out of the passing lane unless I came up on slower traffic.

I don't get some of the responses, it is illegal to stay in the passing lane. You are suppose to keep right unless you are passing and clearly this lady wasn't passing anyone.

She should have been ticketed, it needs to happen to more. Same goes for people not using the HOV lane one lane to the left but hoggin the fast lane.

+ 1. Ignorance is not an excuse. The times I've been ticketed for speeding, I knew what i was doing i just got caught. Suck it up and face the consequences.

Ticket more people for doing this. It has nothing to do with speed. Stay right, pass left. Fuq all you people who think otherwise. I applaud the office for giving out the ticket. Have you ever driven on the Autobahn? 99% of the US drivers wouldn't even pass for a license.

Here in CA I was flying through traffic doing 80 in a 55, hauling ***, using my blinker, changing lanes one lane at a time and using the furthest left lane that was not occupied. Eventually CHP caught up to me, he got in front of me and I let out of the gas, he slowed down to 70, as did I and then he took off. Then seconds later he pulled over some punk in a civic doing 65 in the fast lane. While I feel like I deserved a ticket, I think I got away with it because I wasnt cruising in the fast lane, I wasnt cutting anyone off, and I used this mystical device that I swear only my car has (the blinker)

But by law, ticketing someone for not exceeding the speed limit is INSANE.

I mean in FL they have minimum speeds on highways but its normally 15mph or so under the limit.
Most highways have a sign the reads Slower Traffic Move Right and that's what she got the ticket for. It amazes me how so many people don't read signs and know the rules of the road.

In Illinois you can be ticketed for traveling in the left lane for more than a couple miles. Too bad they don't enforce that since I hated left lane zombies.

I agree with the woman getting a ticket and hopefully it sets an example because too many drivers (specially SUV's) barely go the speed limit in the left lane and block the flow of traffic.

Back in 1993-1994ish, I was on a bus with just me & the driver, as he was not yet in service. I was actually doing work tracking drivers arrival time at certain destinations. All this can be done today via GPS, but of course, it wasn't as predominant then. We were parked at a bus depot & I was standing behind him looking at something over his shoulder. A bus pulls up behind us & the driver gets off.

A few seconds later, the bus hits us from behind. Apparently, drivers used some trick of if you open the back doors, the brakes engage, but never took it out of gear (I guess so they don't go driving around with the back doors open?). Well, the brakes failed or whatever & bumped us.

I was treated like **** by the EMS & all those that showed up to see what was up. I felt like they thought I was faking & just money grubbing or whatever, but I just wanted to get checked out. Ever since then, I've had problems with my back, but I never really put 2 & 2 together until much later.

ah, OK how does that relate to my story of ghetto walkers jumping onto the bus after the accident claiming they were on it when it happened?
