Default New 05 cts-v owner

Hello ,figured I would just make my 1st post ,

I just bought a used 05 in silver from one of my customers, he was selling to buy a new wagon in silver,

gotta say its a nice ride. 45k on the clock, previous owner is like 60 years old, drive like gramps, and I have maintained this car since close to new. got it for $15k.

ive been reading on here since January and I can tell all the little issues it has just from peoples post. I replaced the drivers motor mount and I can tell it needs a trans mount. other than that its really nice.

its gonna be a nice day daily driver. when im not on a bike. so I don't plan on much aftermarket go fast goodies.

nice forum,

Eric

how did you get him to sell you a 44k mile V1 for $15k? Either he got jacked or something is on the service records...

V1 prices are dropping like a rock, and he likely paid the guy about what he would have gotten on trade in price.

Sounds about right for trade-in at an honest place. You'll love it. Welcome.

He is a customer in my repair shop. ive serviced his car for years. I was looking for a 5 passenger car, Camaro and stang would not fit the family, so I was settling for a challenger. My customer said " you know what you need? a cts-v in silver" yea I said find me one, he then ntells me he just bought a new wagon cts-v and its gonna trade the old one in. the dealer offer was $15k. so I jumped on it. the service record is clean as the car.
the car needed the drivers motor mount and the trans mount is sagging. the rear bushings are good. I may put in the rev shift stuff out back. dunno about anything else. maybe better rear axles. I don't plan on racing this car. im a lot older now and most of that is out of my system. I still have a few other toys to play with for speed.

see if this pic loads correctly

This a keeper for awhile. I take great care of my customers. being a business owner you learn how to go above and beyond for your customers. he thought I was gonna flip it for sure.
