Paint gets harder over time. I am pretty sure gm didnt use the ceramic type clear coat like mercedes does. Probably just gotten hard over the years. As someone above mentioned, the meguiars microfiber pads work wonders. Been using them since before they were available to retail. Lol.

Well I finally got my car out in the sun and noticed some buffer tail or trails I forgot the technical term only on the right side down low. No biggie.
We are still waiting on all of the snow to melt up here in the north pole. Who ever believes in global warming was wrong, last year the snow was gone by now.
