Is there a way to bypass the anti theft system in an 04 cts 3.6

my friend is having an issue with the car not starting randomly, dash lights up everything works, but it doesnt start. she has tried multiple keys and saw no change.

she has taken it to a Cadillac dealership and they were unable to figure out what the problem is. If i remember correctly they mentioned the security module (or something like that) might be going bad.

Also sometimes when th the car is filled up with gas, it will stumble and misfire for a while.

I have told my friend to check fuel pressure. but he hasnt gotten back to me with results

If you know someone with a tech 2 or efi live you may have better luck reading the thing, dealerships are often confused by bright shiny things. Sounds like a BCM issue, but I've been wrong before.

Haha yeah...maybe. but seriously, whole different car with the exception of the getrag. Op best of luck with the problem. Cadillac forums has a whole base model cts section, might have better luck there.

Same security system. You can by pass it by jumping 12v to the big purple wire that goes into the fuse box. Search google there is a write up with pictures for this.
