Theres no 1300 hp ctsv runnin a 60e. A track trans would be an 80e.

That is most definetly the 4l80. Which is basically a th400 with overdrive.

I am in no way endorsing this shop or anything but they have decent into on why the 80 is a better trans... If you need an OD trans. TH400 or a powerglide is still the business for a pure 1/4 track car. Can't beat how robust those "old school" 400s are now.

I came across their page while doing some leg work for my next project vehicle

Yes. I have the 80e in my car and I'm really only waiting on a few little things to get it back on the road.

What year cts-v and what method of control are you using for the transmission? Hptuners or similar or stand alone?

What was involved as far as cutting/massaging the tunnel and getting everything to play nice with the ecm?

My trans and clutch are on their way out of my 04V.
