I would love to go have some fun with you guys but I have to be honest.
My LS2 has a blower on it. Not a really good comparison there. lol
But if you want I can still come out and play.

Of course, there is another factor that better differentiates the two motors, and that is oil consumption. If memory serves me, a lot more guys were complaining that their LS2s were using more compared to LS6s.

I know my LS6 uses virtually no oil whatsoever.

To me it only makes sense that if I could bore my LS6 out to 4", it would be faster, even with no other modification made. However, I think the LS6 cam is more aggressive, so that must be what makes up the difference. I drove a 6.0 GTO one time and thought it felt damn fast for a heavy car.

Stock for stock, I could see the LS2 winning every time, by however small or large a margin. Mod for mod, I only see the distance growing between the two.

I'm Saginaw, so is my son and his V (both LS6/05). Mine has headers, no cats, intake and a corsa catback (tune on the 20th). My sons is bone stock.

Work is hectic for both of us, shoot of a date and we'll see who can make it.

this debate will never end...

LS6 or LS2...you're getting about the same thing. Get a car that is in your budget, that you like, and just don't look at the engine.

Both cars are big turds, and the fact that they are not a very well engineered platform are the reason I no longer own my pile of **** 2007 V.

Big turd as it may be, it's a vast improvement over my F-body fling that lasted 6 years. And honestly, the whiny rear is the only reason I have to complain. My 05 V has been a lot of fun. And though it may be old, and stock looking, it still gets a lot of love from onlookers.
