Default V got hit. Tread depth/tire diameter specs?

Got rear-ended. Anyone know the factory spec for left to right or front to back tire diameter variation? Replacing one tire leaves a 2/32 difference between the left and right rear tires. Besides them trying to get me to pay for 25% of the tire (NFW...) should I worry about the diameters?

No comprende mi amigo. Best answer I got? 245/45R18, W rated or better.

Why don't they just put some new tires on there?

I think what he's saying is replacing this damaged tire leaves 1 tire at something like 7/32, and another at like 5/32?

Tell them you want new tires. While the height difference is minute you may want to try explaining to them that the factory traction control and stability system is precise and it could cause issues.

Yeah, I'm with itsslow. I don't know of anything specified by GM when it comes to matching tread depths, but I would use itsslow's recommended approach to get a pair of new tires just to play it safe.

I don't think the size difference will matter, but I wouldn't want to have it on my car on the same axle. When my V got hit, they tried to charge me a $25 betterment fee for the 500 mile tire the body shop changed. They dropped it, but WTF. The other guy insurance was paying for it and stroking me. Not my style, but no wonder people's necks get sore!
