Was in the middle of flashing the ecm and all the sudden my service anti theft system came on the screen and now my car won't start. Let it sit for a few hours and now I have no power wjat soever. Could something be killing the battery to make this happen? I have not had any battery related problems or anything since I've owned the car. Is there a way to reset it?

What are you flashing it with? Did you try reflashing the tune? Did you pull the fuse for the radio, located in front of the back seat on the drivers side? Some people don't have to pull this fuse for a succesful flash, some do.

That most likely is not recoverable. You can try to perform a "write entire" however if the lights go out while flashing that almost always prevents memory from accepting another flash.

Last resort is to get a new PCM. However, these PCMs can be fully programmed with HPT so you just need to do a write entire. FYI - for the V1's you have to wait until the radio finishes booting up and then turn it off before programming. The radio is integrated into the CAN buss and can screw up the flash by sending info across the CAN hosing the flash. It's a somewhat known issue with the V1's.

Happened to me when I was doing my buddy's cobalt SS. He had done some retrofit HID head lights... I had the cat mid tune... Loading normally he came and shut the lights off... Something in doing that fried the computer. Power surge or whatever. Did anything like that happen while you were losing your tune?

Mine has done the same thing. I was just able to flash it and it came right back. I would recommend pulling the fuse for the radio, mine has worked perfect since now that I pull it. Do the write entire.

Re-link the VATS and do a write entire.
Turn the key on and let it do its thing. Plug in the aldl connector. Plug in the USB to your computer. Then try re-linking the VATS and write entire.
Mine always gives the Service Anti-Theft System warning while its writing. Never mess with anything while its writing. Don't open doors, roll up or down windows, turn on/off lights. I sit there like a statue.
