The more reviews I read, the more I keep reading negative press on the rear ends...

Check the spare tire well, some people have problem with the trunk leaking, I did. It wasnt hard to fix, just had to replace the seam sealer just under the trunk lid, but its good to check. Alot of them seem to have bad harmonic balancers, mine does. Turn on the windshield wipers before you buy it too, mine always runs the washers when the wipers are on. I have heard of a few others that have the same problem. Then motor mounts and rear differential bushings seem to be bad alot.

Great info in this thread. I found an 04 w/ 80k on it, silver/tan. Carfax checked out, but he did say it has been in a minor accident w/ the front cover being replaced and some minor damage on the right fender. Carfax does not show it, so I'd assume it was paid out of pocket. He said no problems, no dents/dings, only cosmetic issue is the front seats have afew stains in the suede inserts. He's firm on the $15k. It's 9 hours from me, but the owner agreed to have a PPI completed as well as a compression test, at my cost prior my pick up. Hoping I can get it worked out this weekend. He also said that he has 1 year remaining on a warranty through Cadillac, but I haven't gotten all the details on that yet.

I did, thanks. The one in KC is kind of beat up. The B pillar is has a ton of wear on it and there were some other issues with it, looked dirty, and had some dings on it.

Also, do these have tilt steering wheels? I read a review of one that was complaining about lack of adjustment on the wheel and said it was non-adjustable? Seems odd, but I've never been in one.

Can only speak to the 07's as I've never driven any others. My steering wheel is adjustable (up and down), and haven't ever had any complaints. Not to mention the seat is adjustable to about any position you could ever want. So that if it wasn't adjustable I could position the drivers seat to make it work.

Seems like a petty complaint.

I agree, but I've also had a car in the past without any title and it can be difficult for someone with large legs. I was just curious. From all of the positive reviews that I've read on the car, I'm not too worried about not liking it once I drive it.

All V1 CTS-V's had tilt steering, albeit with rather large differences between the adjustment stops. That may have been the lack of adjustability complaint you read about. I can't get the wheel exactly where I want it as a result, but that's another thread...

Honestly, I've looked pretty much everywhere within 500 miles of KC and STL, as I have a place to stay in either to help break up the drive. There just doesn't seem to be many out there. I'm having a pre purchase inspection done at the local cadillac dealer and if it checks out, I'm am going to pick it up on Saturday. The interior has a couple stains, but the rest looks look. He has an extended warranty through MPP for another year (I couldn't really find any reviews on the company), but he seems to have been pretty straightforward about everything, relative to the pics.

PPI was good except it needs an alignment, 4 new tires and the right headlamp bulb replaced. Carpets are dirty and the suede needs some help it looks like, but we've neg the price. Headed up in a few hours to *hopefully* pick it up.

Annd 14 hours of drive time, $120 in gas, $120 PPI down the drain.

ForceFed93-I looked at the one in Lincoln, no dice. Ran great, though.

Sorry to hear that, I was told everything was great on mine and drove 4 hours. There was alot of stuff I wasnt told about, I dont get why people just can't be honest. If some one is close I can see just telling them to come look at it, but if its a distance like that I would feel like a turd not trying to tell them everything.

Picked up an 05 w/ 64k, black/black. Has some minor hail, it's a driver for sure, tinted tail lamps, black stock rims, painted grille. It's got some dents and dings, but the price was right, mileage was great, and I got a 2 year limited power train and ac warranty. Runs it's *** off. I love it.
