Resurrecting a dead thread, but was curious how these have held up, OP?

I've got to do some paint work on my calipers as well, and was curious how these have done long term.

I'm looking at doing the same...being diligent with prepping/masking without removing calipers.

Any special primer/paint/clear for the high temps the brakes experience on the regular? Also, did the stickers hold up?

Previous owner tried to paint them and none of them match.

The green looks phenomenal by the way!

I'm totally digging the green. It's my fave color & had considered adding some highlights to the car like that . . .

To be honest, after a wash they look as if they were done yesterday. They have held up extremely well, much longer than I would have thought. I just made sure to take my time with the prep work so they had the best possible chance of surviving. Although I haven't done any track driving, I have done some spirited back woods driving with no change in the appearance of the calipers.

For the paint supplies, I used the following (in this order):

High Temp Brake Caliper Paint (Primer Colored) - 2 Coats
High Temp Engine Enamel (Lime Green) - 4 Coats
Apply stickers to calipers at this point.
High Temp Brake Caliper Paint (Gloss Clear) - 3 Coats

The stickers have had absolutely no issues with cracking/fading and neither have the calipers. I'm still quite impressed.

Thanks, man. I was really needing some color added to the car to make it stand out a bit more.

I painted the calipers on my old mr2 8 years ago with advance spray cans and they still look good....I didn't prime them at all....scuffed them up, wiped them down and rattled canned them....I'm still impressed!

I have the luxury of dealing with new calipers not yet mounted. Told you I liked this color! It's not yet clear coated either.

Does look pretty good but agree probably wouldn't look as good on a different color car.

I think it looks pretty sharp on Platinum!
