06 cts-v rpms stay when shifting

My 06 had intermittent problems with the cruise control not working recently(past few months) and the rpm's started hanging longer than usual, never had a check engine light until I took a trip to vegas last weekend and it started throwing a code for the clutch position sensor. I'm currently waiting for it come in.

I just don't remember it doing this the first week of ownership. Its mainly noticeable going from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd not so bad then 4th 5th and 6th it doesn't really do it at all. That paired with my cruise control not operating at all now so I figured the 2 were connected somehow but no check engine light to remove all doubt for me. I hope it's not just the "new car what was that noise/vibration/smell" mentality
