Handsome bike. I'm new to motorcycles. What is that?

And can anyone tell me when I'll stop instinctively checking this forum?

It's a 2008 Yamaha FJR1300. Can go touring or hit the twisties with the sport bike friends.

Tomorrow I put the new Pilot Sport A/S3 tires on the V.

Pulled the whole bumper off to troubleshoot a headlight. Found out my D1S ballast crapped on the pass side so I'll be custom fitting a D1S from amazon into the old stock shell as per CF guide.

Begun tearing down the top end then wrestled with the T-56 for a good part of the day to tackle a clutch swap.

Looks like a nice Yamaha FJ1300. The true bike that would equal the v1...my 2007 Yamaha Vmax. 1200cc V4, just shy of 140hp at the wheel. The original muscle bike.

I love how this is the solution to diagnosing headlight problems on these vehicles. Every other car I've ever owned, a bulb/headlight swap takes 3-5 minutes. Oh well....

Drove it 550 miles in a ice storm and arrived safely. Gave stability a work out in turns though. Cleaned and ready for another 350 on Monday!

Those are straight sick. I wish they were fuel injected. I'd have one in my shed instead of the Z1k. Really nice one you've got there.

Nice. I'd need a gas line run to my garage to get anywhere near working temps. I'll leave projects like that for the spring, or better yet, the pros down the street.

Gave the keys to my wife so her mom could drive the jeep all week. :-( I would drive it to work, but the bad roads and the less then nice neighborhoods in south Houston are more suited for the F150. They can steel the truck all day long. Tough part was V has been stored in the garage for two weeks after detailing. Of course it rained yesterday.
