I was also researching aluminum driveshafts, weirdly enough, and looks like some guys aftermarket shifters were having clearance issues with the one piece designs like this?

i am the owner of this car now, FYI.

apparently the hurst shifter has a ton of clearance for everything on the bottom side. i've yet to actually prove that. i do want to go to a solid drive shaft sometime soon because my center carrier bearing is making noise fairly often now and it's really annoying.

The hurst has the most driveshaft clearance of the aftermarket shifters and was tested on a car with a 4" driveshaft and it did not hit. If you run into clearance issues, I can make a shim to raise the shifter slightly into the cabin.
