another reminder that we are not invincible and definitely not exempt from human error! it happens to the best drivers that make a living doing it so we are no different... RIP Tamar

Tough break for his family. Hopefully no one else was hurt.

All this talk about driving within your limits or comfort zone is bullshit. Don't drive like an *** on public roads, regardless of you skill or inflated confidence level. Take it to a road course. It will make you a better driver, and is an excellent place to vent the need for speed in a controlled environment. The hobby has made me a much safer driver on the highway.

I'm sure it is like this in every 'big' city but the drivers in and around Houston are freakin crazy, and I'm not talking about just sporty or fast cars - they are bad enough, but big assss trucks weaving in / out of traffic on the I-45 like maniacs. Factor in we are one of the least insured big cities and state, chances are when you get slammed into and drove into a medium, no speaka engliss.

The women at work got hit on the freeway this morning and the other car took off. That was on I-45 up in spring coming down to 610. People suck

this guy died too. or is he irrelevant since he didn't drive a cts-v?
No, he is not as relevant because he was not in a CTS-V. Seeing that this is a CTS-V specific section we don't report every car accident or case of dumb-*** that happens on the road here, only ones that have particular meaning to our fellow members.

OMG...I met him at Cars and Coffee, super sweet guy. Prayers to his family.

BTW...we are all guilty of speeding, this could have happened to any of us...no matter how "great" of a driver some claim to be...so be careful of your comments...

Unbelievable how some people are heartless...inconsiderate and RUDE.

Be careful guys and gals...

sorry to rant, but this story hit home...I know I am definitely guilty of showing off in my V...

I would be there for sure if I still lived in Texas.

I am not sure if you have, but post over on the V Owners Forum...I am sure you can get a lot of those guys to show.

I saw this on the news the other day and based on the yellow caliper thought it was a V, but I was not sure until. Shame. Condolences for his family. I started working down by Hobby and bought and F150 and leave the V in the garage. In two months is have seen some crazy stuff. Almost got taken out in a high speed chase on 610 W. Black Camaro flying down the left shoulder (crap lane) at over 120 mph. Saw traffic building up before Westhiemer and almost lost it running across 4 lanes to the exit it. Not sure cop got him since no news story. Must not have crashed. People drive crazy down here.
