HA, fortunately I had a way around the gridlock. My older sister and her hubby live 3.5 miles away from my office, so I just crashed there for two days and worked from my laptop.

This week's storm is probably gonna be a little worse considering it'll knock power out in a lot of areas. On the way to work this morning there were already utility trucks from other states headed to the Northern region of GA on 75N.

And if a celebrity from Atlanta were to roll up on a 4 wheeler I'd prefer it to be Erin Andrews.

Thursday might be 8-12+ of snow... my Blizzaks are too low for that.

If there weren't other drivers, it would be a lot easier driving a V in the snow.

I dailied my V in the snow for nearly 4 years before i moved to LA. Might be one of the easiest cars to drive in bad weather.

If you've never driven an AWD car. Sorry, that made me laugh outloud because I miss my old Legacy as each day of the polar vortex passes while driving my V to work.

Couldn't agree more. My Audi with Hankook iPikes was unstoppable and would do literal circles around my V with Nitto SN2 in the snow

Worst snow in the 6 years I've owned my V. Never been a problem with snow tires.

JD03 - what snow tires do you have? I have some Hankook snows and the V is pretty horrible here in MN but I do manage to get around at least.

It's a joke compared to a nice heavy FWD car like an Impala or an AWD car with good tires.

AWD/RWD/FWD i havent had an issue driving in any of the snow storms i have been hit with and any vehicle. I always had good tires and good judgement.

Even though my V sleeps soundly in my garage while it's nasty out, I can guarantee that regardless of tire choice, it wouldn't have made it out of my garage, let alone to the street.

Our last storm dumped 13" on top of the 2 already on the ground. That, and I have a retaining wall on the north side of my driveway. Drifts across my driveway were 2-3' deep. My Jeep made it out of my driveway in 4WD barely. It was plowing a path scraping the diffs the whole way. I would've have to shovel my entire driveway and wait a few days for the plows to catch up before I could've went anywhere with just the car.
