^couldn't have said it better myself, especially the "And I'm not one to do mods twice"
1 3/4 mild steel ceramic coated pacesetters $455+65 for extensions
1 7/8 stainless maximizer/obx are down to $585/$605 shipped respectively
also i've had a much better luck with flanges over slip fit with band clamps...things have a tendency to loosen up over time with the spirited driving these motors were built for

My Pacesetters ere $375ish to my door with extensions...COATED

The flanges are not the best, but if you can put your shoes on then welding is pretty simple. lol

1 7/8 is really not needed for even a mild H/C/I car......

^He's had his headers a while so you may not find that low of a price anymore. They go on sale once in a while, there's something called google you may want to try if waiting for someone to do the leg work for you doesn't pan out.

I've actually done plenty of googling when I originally planned on buying PS's. I did a lot of digging to find the cheapest price. His price is aproximetly $115 cheaper than I could find anywhere, so, I asked him to post the link.

No need to be a effing dick weed

Ya I'll take the example and wait around for someone to do it for me next time, you have access to the same internet he does.

Every so often Amazon will sell "USED" headers at a discount. These are open box, returned and sometimes damaged. I have not heard anyone yet complain that they received anything dented. Just a few torn up boxes.

I don't have Pacesetters but have Stainless Works long tubes instead. I 2nd the "may need to dent a pipe" at the steering joint. The nut kept rubbing my headers and the stainless is strong stuff and I couldn't get a good angle to dent the pipe so I went the other route. I used a dremel and "domed" the nut and end of the bolt so it wouldn't rub anymore. The clearance is really tight, but there's no contact anymore and I ground it smooth so no worries there.

Not sure about the clearance on the Pacesetters, but it's definitely tight on the driver's side so just a heads up when you get around to installing whatever you decide on.

Or you can go with MVP through amazon

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...&condition=new

280 free shipping then add 70ish for extensions like NikDSC5 said or forget the extensions and just have them fabbed and welded up at a shop if you are running into a stock exhaust and want to reatin cats

If you search on here, you will notice that you can get them as a scratch and dent, but they NEVER have actual scratches or dents.

I had free shipping as well.

I bought these in July of last year and it was $410 with extensions to my door. I was a little off, but not on the timing.

I waited 7 months to get the special pricing.......
