what shocks are you using in this setup? What exactly do the MM spacers do you for?
You'll have to excuse my noobish ways, I'm a Corvette guy looking at an 04 V and just trying to get a handle on what things I need for what I want to do with it

the MM spacers are to defeat the rear auto-leveling shocks. they'll raise the rear while you're driving around. with the spacers it keeps it dropped where it's supposed to be.

I'm one of the guys who had issue with H&R springs. I'm sure you read through a few of my threads. My issues were because a) the springs lowered the rear over 2" (twice as much as advertised), and b) I have a 10" rear wheel with 275 tires on them. So, I had rubbing issues. With those accessory wheels and narrower rubber, you'll be fine in terms of rub. The only thing I'd watch for is a "reverse rake" that could happen - where the rear actually lowers more than the front. Not a good look, but that's just my opinion.

Heed the advice of those that suggested the "Ed-Mod" if you're unhappy with the rear height. I coined the name when EdmundGTP was telling me about his plans to attempt it. I followed his lead, and I've been running it for a few years now without any issues... aside from things settling a bit and having to go in to add more spacers. I think what I wound up with was 3/8ths on the top AND bottom of the rear springs in order to get me to a height I was happy with. Barely any fender gap, but no tire rub. The material I wound up using was actually thick conveyor belt rubber. It was the perfect hardness, very durable, yet still easy enough to work with. And to be honest, these rubber spacers on top and bottom of the springs actually improved the ride comfort a bit... seemed to take some of the harshness out of it.

nice job!

i have also made shims to fine tune for the springs. aluminum discs you toss under the factory isolator for 1/16" to 1/4" at a time.

I also did the "ed mod" and was very happy with the results. I also have wider rear wheels and tires though.

First I must say your car looks really good. Now, Im not sure if its the pictures but its hard to tell if it sits any lower from my stock V. Does anyone have a measurement of some kind that I can check mine?

Yea anyone have clearance issues with fenders after lowering. Mine are cut and wrapped right now and are starting to rub. Looking at h&r springs to hopefully raise it up a hair. Any opinions on that?

Rubbing issues usually only arise when you're running wider and/or larger diameter wheels/tires.

There are a MILLION threads with a LOT of really useful information on this topic. Just use the search function.

No, that lasted about a day. I hated the way they felt. I've been on H&R springs with homemade spring spacers to raise the rear a bit from H&R's height. Again, just use the search function if you want more detailed info. I had a couple threads running concerning my experiences with lowering in general.

Yea found one thread, sorry the thread search on phone doesn't work too well. Also I'm having issues in front not rear. Thanks for the input I am ordering h&r's today to hopefully fix issue. If it doesn't I guess I'm going coilovers route maybe. Sorry just reading a lot, noobish to the v1 party.

I really think h&r on the front and leaving the rear the way it is will work! -js
