So anyway, the pics kinda suck, idk why, but i went ahead and did both door lock switches and the hvac panel last night, i guess the next thing will probably be the instrument cluster. Plannin on puttin about 3-4 leds in each map light so it should be super bright for such a little spot

I did the back lighting for the displays in my cluster a light while back and the left side doesn't work. I swapped all the led's on the left, thinking I got them in backwards, still didn't work. Kicking myself now for doing it. Glad to see you're having good luck with it so far.

You have any sort of tool to lay solder or a bench or something?

I'm thinking to myself how I would accomplish this with just a shitty Craftsman single temp iron and my kitchen table....

You need something with a nice fine tip. Another trick i found out was to use a nice big set of heavy vise grips just to hold the part in place while you solder. Ive done all of my leds on top of my toolbox so far. Its 6' long and 30" across and has a stainless top so its worked out great

i dknt know what the cluster needs yet. i used 5mm round leds on everything but the hvac panel. ill try and put you an ebay link on here for the flush mount leds i used for it. theyre are kind of a bitch to unsolder and reinstall
