Even my car with the suspension mods I have done barely hops (if at all) on the street. I took it to the track and I thought it was going to come apart it was hopping so bad.

No idea why the stark difference, but it's there regardless of the 8.8 or not.

I remember skydiver putting up a post somewhere about how he ran 10s, but didn't have the slip with him. Something mid-high 10s if I recall correctly. 800+whp, built IRS 9". RPM Stage V 6spd manual.

There's no taking away this is one bad **** V1. This thing should be seeing low 10s once he sorts out the issues.

But really though, I think there is a 10.5X or better at this power level and on these same tires (which are relatively small at 265/40)
Honestly, you've got more than a 10.5 in there. Should be low 10s, no issue once you sort it. You're having hop on the CS 8.8?

Grip/track prep. The surface is way different than the street.

Really? I find that kind of hard to believe considering how "capable" the car is out of the box.

The V1 community needs to come together and tag all their videos with V1 or some other keyword so we can search that. Wayyyyyy too many V2's I. You tube hogging the light.

Agreed. Every time I YouTube v 1 stuff I have to go through a list of v2 stuff to find more than a couple v 1 videos.

He bought the car with the motor for 27,500 and has since added the 8.8 and k-sport coil overs (assumed that is all) so add approx 5k=32,500$ give or take.

I was talking about the the entire build cost. Wasn't sure if he had documentation/receipts from the previous owner.

A lot. Built LS7 with a Whipple would cost as much as a high mileage '04 V.

Probably more than that if you're paying for labor also.

An LS7 alone is more than half of the cost of our cars.
