Not enough bearing clearance

Not enough bearing clearance
Getting ready to slip the trans in on my LS7 conversion I did my work sheet and I only have .100" clearance for the throw out bearing. My worksheet shows I should have a minimum of .170"
I'm using the GM LS7 kit and katech slave spacer. Spacer measures 1" any thoughts. Thanks guys

I did a Mcleod RXT with the LS7 slave very recently and if I remember correctly I had the same exact measurements. There is no "buy this and buy that and you'll be fine" with these cars. Something is funky with the length of our bell housing Or something which causes all these clutch issues on these cars

Ok. Tonight I measured everything a hundred times and I still come up with only .100" clearance. I chucked the katech spacer in my heavy 10 and faced off .060" the same thickness as one of ticks slave shims he offers. If it don't work then I can always slap a shim in and see what that does. I should of just did an automatic conversion.

It seems like it's gonna work just fine. I got everything back together minus the drive shaft. (I got my mega kit from CS and everything is installed minus the front diff bushing). When its in gear I can't turn the output shaft, push on the clutch and I can turn it.

Neighbor's always love the start up with open headers or no mufflers. My LS7 clutch has been collecting dust in the garage waiting to go in and it has finally cooled down enough to actually work in the garage, i am all out of excuses. How many hours total did it take to replace? I went with the LS7 slave and have the tick shims, so crossing my fingers for no delays .

I'm doing all my mounts, bushings, fluid changes, clutch conversion , struts, shocks, etc, etc. going on 3 weeks this Saturday. No hurry what so ever, and my 7 year old girl is under thare with me. Been waiting on differential bushing for a week, it's on back order. Hardest part was sliding the trans back in. Those crappy plastic line up tool lets the disk drop a bit with gravity. I should of lifted up on it a bit to compensate for this and it would of went right in.
