Default New 2011V owner got some issues

So i just picked up my V today 2011 Silver Sedan 44K miles. I'm happy but it feels flimsy do to these issues. Primarily issue 1 and 2

issues

1. shifter feels slushy and squeaks. like it I'm string sand when I'm rocking it to shift (Sluggish)

2. I down shifted on the HWY today and I got a ENGINE POWER REDUCED AND CHECK STABILITY message car limped until I shut if off for a few minutes now the CEL is lit

3. the steering swade is really sticky, like it's never been cleaned. How do I clean that.

4. Surface hard water spots. took me 20 minutes to clean the side mirrors by buffing with Windex. all the window are the same :/

I have the 30 day repair any issues deal plus extended warranty.

Do I have big issues on my hands?

any input is highly appreciated.

thank you all.

For the shifting problems, you may want to check the shifter from underneath the car. There is a black plastic piece that is screwed on by two small screws to the shifter housing. They are notoriously known to come out, which will make the shifting be a pain.

Check what the cel is. Could be nothing crazy. As far as paint and windows take care of them ASAP. Get the imperfections out. Hard water spots are a pain to remove but the longer they sit they can ruin a nice car.

I personally wouldn't be satisfied with those issues on a new car

I'll add to this even that I redlined a few time. It took me a while to get used to a car that rides up to the redline so fas. B)

took car of the Water spots with some Soap and #0000 Steel wool. worked like a charm

Cleaned my steering wheel and my shift konb

and I've got an appointment with Cadiillac on Monday for engine and shifter issue Creative Steel. thank a lot for the input. If dealer doesn't hit it I will.

BTW here is my baby

Hope you get the rest of your issues ironed out... I'm in the market for a V so its nice to check on the little issues that other people have been experiencing with these cars so I know what to look for.

Definitely V2, I would like to either get Phantom Gray, or one of the black exterior colors. Also, it would have to be manual transmission. I'm planning on getting rid of my Sunday car (Camaro), and my DD (2014 Cruze RS)... As much as I love both of these cars, I feel like having the best of both worlds in one package is what I really want.

Where does your car stand in regards to the supercharger recall? Maybe I read it incorrectly and it wasn't a full on recall, but I was under the impression GM was replacing all of the V2 superchargers to solve a common issue.

I just registered on the Cadillac wesite as an owner and looked into the Recal section. My car has not had any recals. Ill be at the dealer on Monday and I'll deff. ask.

RTM. that's the way to got. I had too a have a sedan. look for the recaro and trun 6sp manual trans. also do your research on sunroofs to determine weather you really want one, I just changed my mind on it recently.

Got these CEL codes

P0068
P0121

SHIFTER. I think creative steel might have hit it right on the nail. when I put it in any gear the shifter has 3" or so of play side to side. explains why I can t reach R from time to time.

CAI: I'll be taking this car into the dealer. should I remove my newly installed AIRAID CAI and throw on the OEM one?

thanks guys.

Update:

Shifter assembly is being replaced

**** CEL is coming from someone that tried boering the Trottle body (Not covered)
there is a bit of a raise on the bottom side of the throttle body. it was grinded down. It is causing the Plate to sometimes rub. that is causing the CEL and Engine Power Reduced Mode.

Oh well.

where can I get a decent throttle body for a decent price?

Carmax is gonna cover this under awesome Carmax Quality Control warranty.

I'm very happy with carmax.
