Yup. The ones Brian just posted missing for him. I managed to blow out 2. 1 I lost on the street during hard driving, the other lasted a full 2 days until I hit the track.
I thought this same thing and I put a hose clamp over the top bushing to act as a brace to hold it in place and together. I'll be inspecting it soon just as a precaution.

Does anyone else have a vibration that seems harmonic? By that I mean it only comes on at a certain point, ramps up, and then quickly goes away? Or do these vibrations seem consistent and just get worse?

That's what mine does. Comes in around 85 tapers off around 110 or so.

Talked with Frank at DSS and he said the driveshaft needs to be at an angle of 1 to 1.5 degrees with the pinion shaft. No more, no less....
I'll be checking mine this weekend I hope.

If you got a smartphone, TREMEC makes an app that you can use to measure driveshaft angle. Its called Tremec Tools or some **** along those lines. Red icon
I believe the one I put in there may be shot as well, but i think its being held together by the brace I had on it. I'm going to check it out today once I have some breakfast and decide to go under that thing again.

Checking the angles showed that I was just under one degree using the elcheapo digital angle gauge I swiped from work. Measuring the driveshaft angle is a bit of a guess/running average kinda deal because of the texture of the shaft but I feel pretty good that even though I'm close, I'm not exactly where I need to be.
Raising the transmission 1/4" would get me there but that ain't happening cause I ran out of threads on the mount. Looks like I'll be shimming the cradle but that will have to wait until I can find some stock cradle bolt washers and start stacking.
Don't know how sensitive the driveshaft is to this angle but I'm close enough to make me feel like I'm wasting my time....who knows....

Good info thanks! I decided for the time being to install the CS adapter with the stock DS and re-visit this issue again later. Used the app and it looks like I'm only running about 0.3 degrees of driveshaft angle which is pretty far off from what DSS says it should be. I will have to get creative with shimming trans mount and possibly cradle and see what that does for me. It appears with stock DS installed vibration is gone, gonna keep my fingers crossed. Does anyone know if CS trans mount is taller than the revshift insert?

Did not know that existed. Must be a product of all the guys with 8.8 are finally putting power down and launching hard.
Great, something else I have to buy
But I wouldn't expect it to be included in the kit, most guys aren't launching with 450+hp and drag radials. As to the others who have blown out those bushing that you taught me about, I got nothing. Bad batch? I would have expected to blow out mine by now and I haven't. They have been in there for some time now too. Either way I will be buying the new block, and closely monitoring the bushings.
