Default TPMS fix/replace/remove

Since I have new tires headed my way, I've now decided I should fix a couple things with the TPMS--

First I have two that are 'stuck' on a certain psi or range - one reads 39 psi almost constantly (occasionally up to 40), the other reads 26-27 psi constantly and over the winter blanked out to --- a few times.

Doesn't matter what pressure I run in them.

Can they be rebuilt/fixed, or do they have to be replaced?

Or should I just have all 4 pulled and call it good?

The easiest thing to do is just replace them when you're installing new tires. They're passive sensors that require a battery and need to be replaced every few years. Tire shops generally double their cost to sell them though. $60/ea at DiscountTire. Although, I had one I brought in installed without hassle last time around--depends on your location/employee.

And I'm considering (but not set on) balancing beads - anyone try them?

Of course I might just currently have crappy tires.

I've only heard of large truck tires running the beads... but it couldn't hurt? If you've got vibrations, it's probably something other than your wheel/tire combo.

I've occasionally seen posts inquiring about balancing beads, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually follow through and try them on a street car.

I did 2 sets of TPMS sensors last year for a couple sets of wheels. I got the first set from Luke @ Lindsay, because I needed them immediately (I'm local, so no shipping delay if he's got stuff in stock). Then I learned that the OEM sensors are Schrader 20116, which you can find cheaper than OEM online - I picked up a set of those on Amazon back in the fall.

Only experience I have heard with the beads is a Harley front tire. Didn't work.

Don't use beads they might kill your tpms sensors and they do nothing at low speed just get a shop with a road force balancer to solve the vibration

No shops in town with road force machine. And a lot of beads are listed as tpms safe. I know my brother has used them in his race utv tires (though he's running 32" x 9.5" xR14 tires. . . )

I know at least one of my tires is out of balance (I can see where I lost the weight), and I've had vibrations since they were put on - not bad, but currently feels worse. I do need to check wheel bearings and tie rods I guess.
