My buddy blew the rear end out of his ctsv at the track fri night. (6sp car) we just want to get it going again. What's involved in putting an -08 diff? Or what should I be looking for in terms of parts? Thanks

Depending on the damage done... Quickest way to get it back up and going is buying another V1 diff. Or you could buy an srx diff and swap in your internals. If you go with a gen 2 diff you'd also need to cradle swap, and figure out a way to attach the driveshaft.

If more hard launches are in store, either GeForce or Creative Steel is your answer. A gen 2 diff and subframe is a good choice but will require some extra time for install and fitment. Quickest way is another v1 diff but if racing continues, you'll face this issue again sooner rather than later. Being realistic about usage vs. skills/time vs. budget will give you your answer.
