Default Another reverse problem.

Ok. Time for me to fix my reverse problem. It keeps popping out or grinds.

So what all do it need to fix this? Just a synchro or shims? I want to do it right the first time...

Any suggestions on what else I should do while I have the transmission down and out?

What is the status of your motor mounts, trans mount, and shifter bushings?

I had an issue with reverse popping out and I believe it was fixed with either the motor mounts or shifter bushings. It's been a few years, but I think it was motor mounts.

Supposedly just replaced with all new Polly bushings. And same for shifter.

It's been really difficult to get into reverse since purchase. And po also said was same way prior. And I was able to track down the po and he as well said the same.

Ok. I'll give it shot. But I'm pretty sure my reverse is shot.

Does make it easier. But it still wants to pop out. And or grind. This time I let the clutch it out really slow. And it seemed to work better. No pop outs or grinds. I'll test again tomorrow doing the same but adding a little throttle.
