Default Radio Graphics Repair Kit

Found this repair kit online. Old news or something new? Kinda expensive might be a good group buy.

How do people wear those out? Do people eat chips while they're driving?

I got a set of replacement buttons from Cadillac and they started wearing almost immediately.

It would take a steady hand to get these on straight...

Interesting. I don't know that I've seen anyone else report that their replacement buttons also chipped / wore out.

I had my head unit replaced under warranty just before I hit 36k miles. 6 or 7 years later I'm about to roll 139k miles and my buttons are all fine. I assumed that there had been some sort of change to the production process so that the new buttons weren't prone to the chipping problem that the factory buttons were.

The buttons didn't chip but the white insignias started wearing off a couple of the buttons almost immediately...

I'd be in for this at 40 bucks and would be happy if I didn't have to eff with them again.

I'd be in for $40 shipped, even though I really only need three of the buttons, but $60 + $20 for shipping kills it for me.

It be nice to have these overlays vs painted.

Mine were perfect and the car sat for several years untouched. I got in it and I had several that the black finish bubbled up on. If you touch the bubble then the black breaks off and you see white. Kind of stupid. Makes me mad because they used to be really nice lol

For $80, I'll stick with the Flat Black and Gloss Black Testors paint pens for the buttons and Flat Black Testors spray paint for the radio *****.

The discount of $40 applies to orders over $100. (according to the hover that fills in over that $40 price) Find three people interested, Boom, $40 per set.

I'd also be in at $40. Mine are a little beat up, but haven't got too bad in the 10 years I've owned the car. People who push the buttons with their fingernails seem to do the most damage. My daughter chipped a couple of mine. Really, it's just a cheap laminate, which has been common in some GM cars for a long time.

How much are the buttons through them? They sell them individually?

Mine wore out normally like everyone elses, but i also had the whole right side of the radio bubble up and peel white, from the dvd eject button all the way to the bottom on that right side, from a Stupid *** Febreze vent clip that decided to leak and eat the finish
