I remember reading on a forum years ago of a guy doing the 4+2 ls blocks welded together.. nice to see a single piece block. Torque must be strong in that V12. Hope it sounds better than those 90's V12 BMWs.

There are some threads in the LS Conversions about LS V-12s. I think there are/were a couple of separate efforts to develop the engine; not sure which is referred to in the linked article.

^^^ If you watch the video that heavymetals posted (or go to it on YT), one of the related videos that comes up is a Camaro @ SEMA last year with that engine installed (along with a crazy cross-ram ITB intake and crazy headers). Nothing with it running, just interviewing the owner next to the car with the hood removed and engine on display.
I watched a bit of that SEMA video and had to laugh when the Camaro owner commented that the V12 is "only 8.8 inches longer than an LS1." Dude, 8.8 inches is YUGE when you're talking about engine fitment! (That comment was in response to being asked, "Doubters are asking what good is this engine, what cars can it actually fit in?") Don't get me wrong, the engine is amazing - 700+bhp/650ish lb-ft naturally aspirated with unported 241 heads - but it is a weeee bit impractical size-wise.
