06 caddy daddy

Hello all replaced motor and Trans. Mounts with CS . Engine mounts were leaking so shot . Trans.mount looked rubber on the mount looked good . Have read people who changed there's and said they were hammerede . What do they mean ? looking at the side of my mount it looks a little swisted is that what they mean ?

The mounts separate from the plates and also the rubber begins to sag.
