Default ZL1 mufflers on V

So i currently have v2 rear tail pipes and mufflers on my V. Much quieter than the others but i want more.

Found a pair of ZL1 nnp mufflers, i also have a vacuums pump with rpm switch to open and close the valves. Was a plan to keep it quiet but failed. But can be repurposed for greater things

Anyone try this idea before?

I shortened my spare wheel well so i have space.

How is this working for you? Could you share the details on the vacuum switch you used? The NPP is something I really miss and would love to put it in mine. Thanks

She is in the shop, the muffler guy said to trim the bumper the body guy said fit the mufflers and i will trim the bumper...

So i removed the bumper and made reference points for the muffler guy to follow.

Took my ti pipe for my ktm in also to weld on a bung for my autotune attachment. So far my bike went from wild to mean with a couple subtle changes. But thats another thread.

For $200-$400 for the parts its seems it will be the best of both worlds where you get quiet daily drive, and a nice roar when you pop the valves open at your preset rpm/tps value...

Very interested to see the finished product. Do you have any sound clips of the v2 setup you were running before?

So today i passed by the muffler shop to check on the progress, the mufflers are on and at the proper height. Tomorrow she is goin across the street to the body shop for bumper alterations and i am done.

Sound is spot on. Flaps open it sounds like a corsa muffler when you close them and it is silent...even quieter than stock silent...

What vacuum pump and switch are you using for this? When you say rpm switch do you mean it opens the valves based on rpm, like stock NPP, or is RPM just a manufacturer of the control switch, kind of like the mild 2 wild switch that people use on stock npp set ups? Where did you mount the pump?

I have a brake vacuum pump with a switch to control the amount of vacuum and i have a rpm switch that flips the solenoid between the pump and open air.

I use an old technique where i see the back pressure and when it gets to 5psi i switch it 250rpm sooner. So the back pressure stays around 3psi.

The mild to wild kit doesnt work on vehicles that dont originally come with with the system.

I keep the pump in my smaller spare tire well.
