Default FG-2 shock package

got my brand new 05 cts-v on saturday. came from the dealer with the fg-2 shocks. when i brought the car home the dealer called and said the shock package had not been installed and that i would need to bring it back in the next couple days when they get the rest of the parts. just wanted to see if everybody that got this package on the window sticker had to go back to have it put on.

Yes, all FG2 shocks are like that. If ordered with the FG2 option, the V comes from the factory with the FG2 shocks in a box in the trunk. The dealer needs to install the shocks. The installation of the FG2 is included in the option price - don't let them charge you twice.

Default How can I tell if I have the FG2 shocks installed

I just picked up my 2005 CTS-V on Friday. The car was a dealer Demo driven by the owner of the dealership. It has the shock package listed on the window sticker, but nothing in the trunk. I wasn't aware that they didn't come factory installed so I need to know how to check if they are on the car.

From under the car, check the big yellow label on the shocks for the following FG2 part numbers:

Front shocks 88962952
Rear shocks 88962954
