Question Magnetic Oil Drain Plug?

I will be doing my first oil change on the V soon, and was wondering if it has a magnetic oil plug. The Corvette engines don't and I was wondering if Cadillac had done something different. If not, I need to get one before the drain. Thanks for your help.

Yes, the V has a magnetic drain plug. Here's a photo of my fourth oil change at 5,560 miles. FYI - the V holds 6.5 quarts of Mobil1.

Due to the frailty of the V's differential, I would recommend also replacing the differential lube and additive.

Instructions for the rear diff change --> here.

Here's the magnetic plug from my rear diff....

Thumbs up

Thanks! Yes, I know it holds 6 1/2 qts., as I am an old Vette guy. So far the car has been great and I am looking forward to giving it a little TLC. The Diff. will get its share too. I have used Amsoil gear lube in the past, but might try Mobil 1 and some LS additive.
