Can't wait to replace my shifter.
This shifter is as described on the picture. It uses the old frame. The shifter stalk is completely new. Its all stainless, no plastic. The lower section of the stalk is lengthened to provide true shorter shifts. The competitor just shortened the handle, so 'short' has a different meaning. What that really did is decrease your mechanical advantage. The UUC is the same height, it just doesent move as far front to back, retaining mechanical advantage. All of the plastic parts are replaced with bearings and stainless steel. Its just a more precision peice. The original plastic ball retainer is reused. I will get a price this week or you can call Rob and hound him, It will be less than the 'other' shifter.

[QUOTE=lasstss] Just got through calling Rob.
Price $275-$300 He just didn't know for sure. He had to crunch some numbers.
Availabilty 3-4 weeks.
Other notes. You use your own frame. To do this rivits must be drilled out and
bolts are used.
That part sounds good.
lasstss How is it working? How long did it take you to install? Is it as bad as I think it is.

I unbolted the driveshaft pushed it back & out of the way 3 -18mm bolts.
(didnt remove it). Supported the trans and removed the cross member.(8 bolts) Unbolted the exhaust and lowered it in the front. I then lowered the trans and removed the bolts and clips that hold the shifter. I also removed a solenoid on the left side(one bolt) to make it easier to get at the left clip. Remove the 2 bolts inside the console. Took about an hour. Of course this was on a lift. Its a pain but not the hardest thing to do.
