Default Lost my Nav DVD

Ok, this bites but I'm too happy to care.

I got my new 05 black/black cts-v tonight and I popped out the NAV DVD put in another and slid the NAV DVD into my case. My friend got out of the car and now the case is lost, with my NAV DVD, please help. Does anyone have a download?

I've only had it for an hour

Just drove my 04 platinum/neutral home last night also. The dealer lost the disc and are sending me a new one, they said it was around $400 there cost. I hope you find it, good luck.

This is a copy, Version 6.0, Q4 02. It's the latest version for US and Canada. Still available.

No, I bought two of them off Ebay. A seller had five available and I figured I'd have a spare. The price was a lot less than dealer pricing. Anyway, I have the spare available - don't *really* need two.

GNSpyder:

Your price for an original Nav disc seems a little fishy and so does your post count. I'm not saying your trying to rip people off but if I were looking at buying one I'd be a little leary. If these are what you say they are then how about posting some pics or something to prove what you say.

I buy two of everything - well almost everything. If I need a calculator, I buy two. If I purchase a tool, always buy two identical ones. it's just a thing I always did, kind of a superstition (then it's OK if I lose one or loan it out). The guy that sold the nav discs got me hooked because of what the listing said about dealer pricing. I haven't checked with the dealer...don't know the part number.
I'm new to this list, just bought a CTS-V and am already learning some of the tricks and mod's for the car. The discs both work perfectly on the car, so I figure if someone really needed it, I'd offer it. Apparently he found one though. Still have both of them.

{should have bought two CTS-Vs}

Gotta love the internet!

Parker, what would you use it for? Your sig doesn't list the CTS with nav. Are you a collector, or just lookin' for a deal?
Not looking for offers anyway, so I'll just keep it. Because, well you never know when you might need one...or two.

I heard someone suggest to take the nav disc out of the dash if you valet park the car. Seems the discs tend to grow legs and disappear. I could just imagine.
So, I guess it's wise to have a spare.
How do you like your CTSV? Get it to the track yet? It's a good idea to baseline the car before you start modifying it.

Ill take care of all that. The sales manager told me that the navi disc was in its case when he drove the car and now the case is in the glove box with no dvd in gd!

If its as simple as burning the DVD on a DVD burner I have access to both. Let me know if you need a copy. Pretty outragious price for a new one, dealer cost on it is 260. Good luck

The DVD is 8.5gb DUAL LAYER made by Samsung. So it's twice the size of a standard DVD. You probably need a special burner for that type of disc. That could explain why it's so costly.

I have a DL dvd burner (yes you need a special burner to burn over 4.7 gb) and tried to burn a copy for ryan (starter of this thread)....1st try yielded a coaster (using nero and doing a disc copy). Having recevied word from someone who was successful in this, they also used Nero, but did a "Save track" and then burned a new disc... I am going to try that tomorrow.. I will let you all know how it goes...

Bottom line: You do need a special burner and special discs (discs are about $5-10 ea)
