Parker I asked the same question a few posts down. I was told that the 255-45 is the widest tire you can fit on the rim...it's 10" wide where the 245 is about 9-1/2" wide. Otherwise, you'd need to cut the wheel and widen it - at least until you find someone who makes a wider wheel.

According to www.tires.com I was told the 255-45 tire is the same relative diameter as the 245, but slightly wider. The wheel is 8.5" and that's the MINIMUM wheel width that can be used on that size tire, so it'd just make it. The wider tires wouldn't fit the rim properly, causing the tread to bulge out in the center.

9.5" may be too wide up front, depending on the offset. CCW would be able to tell you, tho'.

I went with 19x9 and 19x10's, which should be mounted soon. Tho', today at lunch, a lady backed into the side of my car so I may just postpone mounting everything 'til after my car is fixed.

Thats fucked up. The guys at CCW told me i could run a 275 on the front and a 295 on the rear. Your right the 9.5 is to wide for the front, it going to be a 19x8.5 and 19x8.5 combo on it. Ill order them in about two weeks or so.

I have not run it at the track yet but I am planning to soon. Seat of the pants feel quicker though. I hope to provide real numbers soon.

Be very careful up front, as there is minimal room between the inside rim and your suspension.

If you stay with a stock offset, and widen the rim outside, creating a more "deep dish" effect, you'll get more rim and tire on.

I want to have our stock wheels widened about 1.5", I think this will look awesome and allow a larger tire too. I need to see if its possible as the spokes ride right at the wheel lip, so I'm not sure if there is enough material to cut the rim and re-attach it so it looks stock.

I shouldnt have a problem up front since I chose the same width wheel just a little wider tire, if it rubs i can always put a 245 series back on the front. I know they will have problems if I lower the stance but I really dont want it to ride much more different than factory. Im still pondering if I want to leave it stock or get to the modding.

On the front, it will depend on how much of the sidewall extends beyond the rim.

A li'l info:

Friday night I installed my 19x9's with 245's up front. My car is lowered on the Eibach kit. Well, the rim spun freely, so we dropped it. There was some rubbing issues but it didn't seem all that bad. I drove the car home and it didn't go away, so I figured the next day I'd take a look at it.

Saturday morning I noticed that I had tweeked my fender a li'l bit, so with the aid of a good friend, we rolled all four fenders. It cleaned up much of my problems, but for some reason the passenger front still had some rubbing issues. So, onto another friend's place.

Arrived there and hung out for a while, then got after it. We jacked it up and I started looking more closely. There were no spots on the fender lining or brake ducting that were showing signs of wear. Then I checked even more closely and noticed that the inside lip of my rim was ground down a little. Pulled the rim and saw that there had been some friction between the rim's edge and the swing arm.

Anyhow, long story short, talked to iForged today and we're going to resize the fronts down to an 8.5" width and go from there. Figured someone'd get some help from this bit of info.

Wish me luck!
