My V is at the Dealer for some service
My V is in at the Dealer, they are doing a new clutch, new battery, new diff, and the bushings.. Will have it back tomorrow and have a nice easy family (wife, 3 year old son and myself) and friend (a friend, his wife and daughter in their Mustang) cruise planned on Saturday through the White mountains of NH. So far I have no complaints with the Dealer and have nothing but great feelings with them. They gave me an 05 Escalade as a loaner for the week so that wasn't to bad.
Looking forward to picking her up tomorrow though.
My diff has been leaking very little for a little while now, and on Sunday she started to puddle under the car. Anyway I dropped it off on Monday and the clutch and battery is already done, and the diff is set in. They will finish that up as well as the bushings tomorrow. I ended up having a crack in the case right above the Getrag name on the diff. Here is a couple pictures, not really sure if you will be able to see it but thought I would post them anyway.

There is a TSB about some 05's that had a bad batch of clutches. It your clutch pedal has ever stuck to the floor under high reving shifts then you could have a bad clutch. The dealer will drop your transmission and check the date code of your clutch, and if your clutch is in the date code of the bad clutches they will replace it.

holy **** that happens to me all the time, and i just thought it was the nature of the V's clutch and nothing to argue about! Well, if it ever comes back from the body shop in 1 peice, I will be sure to tell them to fix that while they put in the subframe bushings. I couldn't stand how the clutch sticks to the floor. its incredibly obnoxious.
