Anyone know a hack to get the DVD to play while car is moving?

www.cadillacfaq.com

basically put the disc in when the car is not moving with the parking brake on, hit the second button to the bottom while pressing the seek forward button. this should bring up the "safety interlock screen" once you have this up, hit the same combination again and it should go away. The parking brake can be released and you will be able to watch. The only problem is that the entire nav/cd/dvd system will not respond to any button inputs, so be sure to start the movie before you enter the hack. To unlock the system hit the top button on the right and all will go back to normal.

I was talking to a friend of mine who works for GM, and he said it'd be real easy to hook up a switch so that the car thinks that the parking brake is on all the time. Then you could play DVD's whenever you wanted to. Wouldn't be hard at all. That's the trick instead of doing all this menu bullshit.

The problem with that is that if the car thinks the e-brake is on, the ABS will act funny, the TC will act funny.. And it wont necessarily make a difference... Some of these DVD players will cut out the video (unless you bypass) if the GPS recognizes that you are going above a certain MPH... I dont think the V falls into this category, but then I have never tried...

When you say the "TC" - what TC are you talking about?
