I think they suck,.....especilly after I broke one off in my hand.
They feel like a close to STOCK shifter,....in my opinion, which don't mean ****,....since I don't drive a Lac.
Personally, "I" like the Katech, since it has a more positive feel. I'd recommend driveing a car, with each shifter, and see which one your more comfortable with before you spend your money. Different strokes for different folks.

I have the Katech shifter and from what I've read, people who've driven V's with the Katech and the UUC say that the UUC is nice and doesn't transmit noise into the cabin, but that the Katech is a shorter more direct shift but transmits noise into the cabin. I have to agree, it shifts great but would be perfect if it was quieter.

Not so much crunching as the transmission noise and gear noise. When I'm alone in the car and the radio is on it's not that noticeable. It's when you've got other people in the car and the radio is down so you can talk, those are the times that I notice it the most.

Jamie...
Reminds me...
Rear-end # 5 or is it # 6? Goes in asap(dealer called me) but I have to go to orlando for business so probably next week.
My new sway bars are in, think you can hook me up with putting in the sways and the katech while they do the rear? (I have sways, you have shifter)
Don't get me excited and tell me yes and then tell me no though, ive noticed you have been acting kinda shaddy lately...
Not sure its lack of sex or lack of corvette or both.
Sex is free though.
btw: this is the last chance I give the V hope that new diff works, drove a 2006 vette it definately feels glued to the road, didn't feel that much faster though honestly..

funny, and im not hating, but i drove a c6 and got some clunk when shifting around....
hmm? As soon as i got in and selected first, went to shift is when i noticed the "prararara" from the drivetrain!! Not saying that all vettes do this and that im sure it was probably my fault, for got to take it easy on the clutch desengagement, but interested nontheless!!!!

Broke no, I never actually popped a diff, but the whine is HORRIBLE I mean louder then the sound of the radio when its up pretty high.
But to answer your question yes part number 15xx or 16xxx forgot what it was DEFINATELY is a better diff (06 diff)
It was completely quiet for an entire 4000 miles.
Thats like a 100% improvement from the old 04,04,05,05, diffs. which only lasted like 2k miles each before it sounds bad..

Personally, I think you bitch like a little girl when it comes to your "wine".
And you guys, all coming in here, at almost the same time, all with the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS is getting a little kooookie, if you know what I mean.
I'm about to flip out.

I really can't imagine how you can go through so many diffs, but hey it happens, Mine whines but i like to drive it, what killed me was the clunking.
But heck if your going to take it in might as well get a new diff, it's like carrying a spare tire for these cars.
Here is a funny story, I picked up a girl for the evening she steps into my car, smiles wow nice car. I start driving slowly and clunk clunk clunk, Looks at me , hey is your car going to make it to the restaurant.............. I got red and said , do you like driving fast, she said yes, so i did, Thats the only way the clunk can be put under control. Anyhow for a 50 grand car it has it's drawback

I let her drive the car and she didn't complain about the shifter being too stiff.
