Default Stability control malfunction?

My buddy has a V and for some reason, just normal driving the computer freaks out and says stability control engaged, and after maybe 1 hr or so, it goes off so much, it says service stability control system? is this a software glitch? this is highway cruising so no reason for it. Anyone else have this problem of it engaging for no reason?

did he have the recall done for the SDM module? That may be it....

or

Does he have aftermarket exhaust? AM exhaust has been known to cause a vibration issue with the SDM (located under the center console) causing weird ABS/TC issues... They need to put a rubber isolator on the exhaust. This is a corvette issue to I think I heard once..

I had kindoff the same thing going on but i didnt have any driver modes. I had to ship my head unit off and get reprogramed. Sad to say, try that.

I had this exact issue with my Yukon. The Yaw Control sensor went bad. Definately take it in for service, and have them check it out.
