question for 2c5s
My current intake uses components from an 05 Dakota, 05 GTO, a Halltech C5 system and a plastic garbage can. It's about as good as it's going to get keeping the stock intake route. My IAT's are ambient, but it does'nt negate the 90' turns in the system. Now, am I going to try and explain what I have done with these those components, no. Look at the stock system and open up the induction path.
I'm in the process of getting this OTR intake to fit. If this works like it should, I'll gladly post up the part numbers.

I'd love to get rid of that 90 bend. i'm also anoyed by having 7 hoseclamps in my current intake setup (way to many places to have a failure, and be suckin unfiltered air.)
In the setup you are trying, where does the MAF and Filter go? (Or are you running MAFless/Speed Density?)
I would certainly appreciate any feedback as you proceed.
Thanks,
Chris

whoa....
2c5's -
Can you show dyno comparisons? I've raised this point on other sites but have no numbers to back it up. Aftermarket vs. stock...

Feel free to search the other caddy board, I posted a volant, stock, modded stock comparo from a day long dyno session I did. Search for "10secvette" as the thread starter.
oh boy, I crack my self up.

Meziere is not HARD, just a bit on the time consuming side. With you being in Fl., I would not do it. It's hot where I live in the summer, 100'+. Once it's over 90-95' ambient, it lets the temps creep to the the mid 190's and low 200's over 101' ambient. For me, I like my coolant to hold 185' which it does until it's in the 90's.
The radiator get's more than enough airflow, the filters hardly obstruct it at all. When we hit the rainy season, I'm going to put a shield in front of each filter, they will still draw air on the backside, but no direct water. As far as washing the car, I won't beat on them with the hose, and gravity will force any water to drain before I drive. Oh.... you're funny.
