Default Engine running rough

Hello. This is my first time posting. I have an 04 V with 31K miles. I don't trash it, but drive spirited every once in a while. I recently noticed that it is running extremely rough at idle, but when I took it into the dealer, they said that is normal for this engine. There were no codes, but I've had this car long enough to know that it is not running like it used to. Has anybody else had this problem? Thanks.

and does it feel harsh turning it off ( a little more shake than normal) you probably have a broken or cracked or leaking motor mount.

We've replace many mounts.

However, if the car is new to you...the LS6 camshafts have been known to be confused with a "engine roughness" at idle. Atleast, we saw that with some early customers,...or someone new to the Ls6 world.

The other fella's are right though,....bring it to the dealer,...with your concern. The first thing they SHOULD check, is the mounts.

I just replaced both motor mounts on a blown V. What a bitch that was.

Thanks for the help guys. Iv'e had the car since it had 7K miles on it, so I'm sure something is going on. Is there a way to visually tell if a mount is bad?

usually you will be able to see a fluid leak, or whats left of all the fluid leaking out.
