Widened stock CTS-V wheels?

Any success out there in widening the stock 8.5" wheels to 9.5" or 10"? I have the g-Force 275/40-18's on the back now and know that they'd perform and look better on a wider wheel.

Over on the other forum, I believe the general consensus was you could go to 9.25 (ish) without running a crazy spacer.
